VITRUVIOUS IS FAMOUS FOR STATING THREE QUALITIES THAT MAKE UP ‘ARCHITECTURE’- FIRMITAS, UTILITAS, VENSUSTAS (STURDY, USEFULNESS AND BEAUTY) STRUCTURAL SOUNDNESS – OK, UTILITY OF SERVING A PURPOSE – OK BUT WHAT IS THE EXPERTISE OF BEAUTY?
HOW CAN A SINGULAR ENTITY OF A HOLISTIC SYSTEM OUT-SHINE ANOTHER IN ANY SIGNIFICANT WAY? AN ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION IN ANY FORM CAN ONLY ORIGINATE IN A POSITED INTERPRETATION.

HOW CAN SUCH AN INTERPRETIVE PROCESS OF DECISION MAKING BE DEFINED?
A PROCESS AS A MEANS OF INFORMATION FEED OR INSIGHT BECOMES TRANSLATED – BY WORDS THAT CONJURE IMAGES OR MEMORY, WHICH ARE ALL FABRICATIONS OF INDIVIDUAL MIND MAKING DECLARATIONS.
NO ONE WOULD EVER SAY THAT THE PYRAMIDS ARE UGLY – WOULD THEY?
THIS TRANSLATION OF THE MIND IS AN END RESULTANT OR IMPRESSION OF A DECISION INDEPENDENT OF THE QUESTION – WHY?
WHY IS SIMPLY A SIDE-NOTE
WHY HAS NO MEANING OR INFLUENCE IN OUR SYSTEMS OF PERCEPTION
WHY LIES OUTSIDE OF THE ORIGINAL VESTIGE OF HUMAN MEANING MAKING PERCEPTION.
Before there were words, there were only experiences. There was no concern about what the next experience might be. There was no thought about what had happened to you. All that existed was the present moment but then common naming comes along with concepts of meaning making – words become nested in the mind.
THE RESULT IS THAT THE MOST CRITICAL ASPECT OF MOVING MEANING FORWARD –i.e.-WHY DO ANYTHING? ORIGINATES SOLELY IN THE INDIVIDUAL MIND.
HOW WORDS ARE DEFINED EMOTIONALLY – INTELLECTUALLY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, SUBCONSCIOUSLY DETERMINES IMPORTANT ASPECT OF ‘DOING’ ANYTHING, HOWEVER THE QUESTION (WHY?) IS COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTEXT WITH EXISTENTIAL PRESENT MOMENT OF EXPERIENCING.

Architectural Design Language in the quest for beauty breeds meaning based upon agreed common naming. Words now organized – catalogued – identified thoughts now a consensus framework across a pact of individual minds. There is a practicality to this framework as it does provide a function when a life is immersed in living.
This functionality as such has positive as well as negative effects. This functionality of thought allows for the notion of ‘history’ and ‘future’ or speculation = conjuring = living a life of in-authenticity. The in-authenticity is due to judgment calls and assumptions requisite to the origins of conjuring things up in the first place. Isn’t design an inductive type of conjuring?
Conjuring as deductive is reactionary – an aberrational reality typically consisting of examples below:
Is it / Am I / Is he or she – good – good enough – worthy – capable – likable –and the grand daddy of ‘em all – Right or Wrong – I’m right – you’re wrong = power as allusion or constant worries about, …”am I right?” …”is this right?”
Stories of conjuring inhabit the mind – patterns of behavior in reaction to, or in anticipation will now form a completely conjured reality that doesn’t exist – in the deductive mode …”this is not my beautiful life?!” – in the inductive mode…”this is my beautiful life I’ve created!”
SO THEN – THE A NOTION ARISES THAT – THE WHY OF ACTIONS DOES NOT PRECEDE PERCEPTION YET IN MOST CASES PRECEDES ACTION IN THE MODE OF PROBLEM SOLVING AND DECISION MAKING WHICH ARE PERCEIVED ACTIONS. THEREFORE IN THE END, INDIVIDUAL PERCEPTIONS ARE THE CREATIONS OF REALITY MADE SIGNIFICANT ONLY ON THE INTERIORITY OF THE INDIVIDUAL HUMAN MIND AND SUCH AS BEAUTY BECOMES SIMPLY A WORD.
THE PYRAMIDS ARE STILL – BEAUTIFUL
THEREIN LIES THE PARADOX OF WORDS IN THE PROGNOSIS OF DEFINING BEAUTY AND IN REGARD TO DEFINING ARCHITECTURE ITSELF.
